Happy trails David Garrard!!!

Wooow did not see this coming.  Jacksonville cut Garrard and decide to start Luke McCown, an 8 year veteran from Lousiana Tech.

From the SI Staff blog:

Who is the most underrated quarterback in the NFL?

David Garrard, Jaguars....20%
Eli Manning, Giants....8%
Drew Brees, Saints....8%

Is this true?  Garrard is the only one that makes any sense in the above poll and was seemingly the only bright spot along with

Jones-Drew for the Jaguars consistently average past few seasons.

Seahawks should pick him up!  Place 3rd string QB Portis on the practice squad and bring in Garrard to likely start.  Could really boost our teams swag.  Note: Seahawks 3rd string QB has looked better than starter Tavarius Jackson, this is a make or break decision with the odds of Garrard being a better Seahawk than Jackson today!  Do it!!

(Quick response to the NFL.com QB rankings.)  Really?......Really?!!

1st call out is of Chargers QB Phillip Rivers.  Is he up there with Rodgers?  How you figure NFL.com?  Rivers has the tools without the killer, make a huge play attribute .  Maybe it is political.  APB says Vick is up there with B-rady, P.Manning, and have to put Big Ben up there.  Other than that it's fine, put Vick in the blue, drop Rivers down, and add Matt Cassell and maybe your boi Donovan McNabb to red chip/honorable mention.  Young bucks to watch - QB Colt McCoy, Browns and QB Jake Locker, Titans.

Hey (your name), you want to weigh in here?!!

Ok, I'll be baaaack.  Thank you for stopping by.

    • Eugene Carl Mitchell Yeah just like last season they changed his contract and he gaurenteed 2000 yards and didn't even come close. He is ok but when you face the AFC defenses your running performance is challenged every week. He's a crybaby my books.

    • Nathan Jones Don't blame the man, pay him!

    • In the end.....final thought....whatever.  You do not want to play against Chris Johnson on another team so Titans might as well sign him.  Titans have a little leverage with the fact Johnson has only BLOWN UP for 1 year, potential is strong.  Titans, do you want to be the team who let 'Barry Sanders Part 2' go to another team?  Scaaarrrrry!  You will have to pay BIG BUCKS!  Stop being stingy, dang!

Baller of the Week

Seattle Seahawks QB #13 Josh Portis
Watch this guy, he has showed refined
skill and composure this pre-season.
Will the Hawks find a way to utilize
Portis' talents?  Give them all a clean
slate and let em duke it out!  APB
sees you Portis!

Take a Timeout.
